Birth of Luffy's Dream Pirate Crew! is a Japanese tactical RPG for the Nintendo Gameboy Color handheld console. It is comprised of the early story of the East Blue Saga but gives the player to experience any of the storylines in any order. The player moves their way around the world map to visit islands and can recruit more characters to use as well as recruit enemies that didn't join the strawhats in the story normally.
It was developed by Alpha Unit, published by Banpresto, and was released on April 27, 2001. The game sold 91,567 copies in its first week and totaled 361,158 copies sold over it's lifetime.[1]
