Album Information:
"Friends" is a single by Usopp (Kappei Yamaguchi 山口 光雄) and Chopper (Ikue Ōtani 大谷 育江) and was part of the third set of character singles released on September 29, 2004. The short single album features the main song, a remixed version featuring DJ ZET from Upsurge (a now defunct record label group), a karaoke version, and two short bonus tracks with a message each from Usopp's and Chopper's voice actor/actress. The messages featured them briefly introducing themselves and remarking on the song, their characters, and the album jacket which could be changed to have one or both of the two characters in front. It was released along side "Respect!" and "Hurricane Girls".
This album peaked lowest on the charts among the 3 character singles released in September 2004, reaching 81st and stayed on the charts for 2 weeks. Noticeably, this was higher than either Usopp's or Chopper's solo albums the year before.
